Portrayed in panel format, Britt tells of a girl’s loneliness and exclusion. Genevieve is reading Jane Eyre and she compares Jane to herself. Arsenault’s pencil and watercolor illustrations perfectly reflect the girl’s feelings. The panels are interspersed with full-page illustrations. And when Genevieve meets a fox, her world begins to shift.
