The Way Home in the Night

As her mother and father carry her home down urban streets after dark, a young rabbit muses about the through-the-window scenes of her neighbors. Miyakoshi illustrates the glimpses in charcoal with spots of color while her text raises questions in this quiet tale: Is the pie ready to be shared? Is the cook taking a bath after locking up? Is she taking the last train home? All imagined answers lead to home and sleep.
