How This Book Was Made

Creative duo Adam Rex and Mac Barnett pair up with a witty take on the real process of picture book making — with a few liberties taken, pirates and such, thrown in for good measure. Barnett's deft writing style captures the process with an audience-addressing slant while Rex's addition of cut-paper based illustrations add another dimension to the story and the humor. This talented pair has collaborated on other books as well: Chloe and the Lion,  and Billy Twitters and His Blue Whale Problem.
